Kristen & Jacob’s Playful Love Story | Central California Engagement Photographer There are some couples who just fit, the kind who laugh easily, tease each other nonstop, and turn even the simplest moments into something magical. That’s Kristen and Jacob. They met in college, where study sessions quickly turned into coffee dates, long walks, and eventually weekend hikes. What started as friendship grew into something steady, joyful, and deeply rooted in shared adventure. From the very beginning, they’ve made each other smile in the most effortless way. College Sweethearts Who Love the Outdoors Kristen and Jacob bonded over their love of hiking and being outdoors. Whether they’re chasing sunsets, exploring new trails, or just getting a little lost together (on purpose, of course), their relationship thrives on adventure. So it was only fitting that their first-ever professional photoshoot captured that same playful energy. They laughed the entire time. Between goofy faces, spontaneous twirls, and inside jokes, their session felt less like posing and more like documenting real, authentic love. And honestly? That’s my favorite kind of engagement session. Why Lost Lake in Fresno, Ca Is a Hidden Gem for Engagement Photos We chose the stunning backdrop of Lost Lake Park for their engagement session, and it did not disappoint. Tucked away near Fresno, Lost Lake is one of the prettiest spots in Central California for photoshoots. With its golden grass, peaceful water, oak trees, and glowing sunset light, it creates the perfect natural setting for romantic and playful engagement photography. If you're searching for: Engagement photo locations in Fresno Outdoor couples photos in Central California Scenic proposal spots near the California coast Lost Lake should absolutely be on your list. A Summer Wedding Near the California Coast Kristen and Jacob are planning to get married this summer, likely somewhere along the beautiful California coast. I already know their wedding day will be filled with laughter, hiking stories, and probably a few happy tears. And here’s the best part because they booked me for their engagement session, they now receive 15% off their wedding photography package. I love rewarding my couples who trust me to capture multiple chapters of their story. Looking for a Couples Photographer in Central California? If you're newly engaged, planning a proposal, dreaming of an elopement, or organizing your wedding day, I would love to document your story. At Zoe Evelyn Photography, I specialize in: Engagement photography in Central California Proposal photography near the California coast Elopement photography Wedding photography in Fresno and beyond Outdoor adventure sessions Destination weddings (yes — I travel!) Whether you're planning something local in Fresno, along the California coast, or somewhere completely different, I am always ready to pack my bags. Traveling to capture love stories is one of my favorite parts of being a photographer. Kristen and Jacob’s session was filled with joy, silliness, and genuine connection — the kind of love that reminds me exactly why I do what I do. If you’re searching for a Central California couples photographer who captures natural laughter, authentic connection, and adventurous love stories — I’d be honored to be part of your journey. Let’s create something beautiful together. πŸ’› Review From Kristen: "Zoe took my engagement photos at Lost Lake in Fresno. She did absolutely amazing! She had great communication, a very professional attitude, and was overall just an enjoyable person to be around. She knew exactly how to pose us to get the best photos possible. I would highly recommend Zoe."

1. Decide You Want to Propose Most proposals start with one simple thing: love. Deciding you want to propose usually comes from wanting to show commitment, build a future together, and choose your person forever. When you’re confident in that decision, the rest of the planning becomes exciting. 2. Pick Out the Ring Think about: Is your partner more of a rose gold, gold or silver person? Do you know their ring size? Have they mentioned a dream engagement ring? These thoughtful details make the moment even more meaningful. 3. How Do They Want to Be Proposed To Every person is different, so think about what your partner would love. Do they want a private proposal or one with family and friends present? Would they prefer a nature proposal in Central California or a favorite meaningful location? Do they want it just the two of you plus a professional proposal photographer? Choosing the right setting helps create a proposal that feels authentic. 4. Plan and Pick Which Day Give the proposal a reason to feel special. You might: Dress up for a nice dinner Plan a casual outing that turns into a surprise Go on a scenic hike if your partner loves the outdoors Thoughtful planning makes the day flow naturally. 5. Book Me as Your Proposal Photographer Hiring a proposal photographer in Fresno, California means you’ll have this once-in-a-lifetime moment captured forever. I love and truly enjoy helping couples celebrate such an important milestone. I’m a Central California wedding photographer based in Fresno and available to travel. ✨ Bonus: If you book me for your proposal or engagement photos, you’ll receive 15% off your wedding photography package. 6. Don’t Forget About the Nails This is a pro tip from a Fresno engagement photographer. If your partner loves having their nails done and they aren’t done on proposal day, don’t stress. Pick up glue-on nails from Target—they can put them on after the proposal in about 10 minutes before photos. They are cheap but will stay on for the day and they’ll appreciate that you thought ahead. 7. Plan What You’re Going to Say You don’t need a long speech. A few heartfelt words are perfect. You can say things like: Share three things you love about them Explain the moment you knew you wanted to marry them Talk about your hopes for your future together Authenticity always matters more than length. 8. Get Friends or Family Involved (If You or They’d Love That) If your partner enjoys surprises with loved ones, consider getting friends or family involved. They can: Help set up flowers or a sign before you arrive Plan a small engagement celebration after the proposal It adds an extra layer of joy and support. 9. Breathe and Relax Take a deep breath—you’ve got this. At the end of the day, your love and intention are what matter most, not perfection. 10. You Got This—Go Get Them Trust yourself, trust your love, and enjoy the moment. This proposal will be unforgettable because it’s personal and full of heart. Planning a Proposal in Fresno or Central California? Or ANYWHERE!? If you’re looking for a Fresno wedding photographer, proposal photographer, or engagement photographer in Central California, I’d love to help capture your love story. πŸ“ΈπŸ’ Let’s create something unforgettable.

What a Wedding Photographer Really Does Beyond Just Taking Photos Hey there! If you're planning a wedding, you probably already know how important it is to have the right people helping out. But here's the thing your wedding photographer isn’t just there to snap pictures. They’re part of the team that helps make everything run smoothly, and they do a lot more than you might expect. As a wedding photographer based in Central California. I'm a Fresno Wedding Photographer who also shoots in Yosemite and Santa Clarita, Ca. I’ve learned that my role goes way beyond just clicking the camera. Let me explain some of the things I’ve done at weddings that show how important a good photographer can be by saying things I've done that don't involve taking photos. 1. Helping the Groom with His Flower One of the first things I do when I arrive is check in with the groom and his groomsmen. If the groom has a boutonnière (that little flower on his jacket), I make sure it’s pinned on straight. You might think this is a small detail, but trust me it’s the little things that make a big difference. No one wants to see a crooked flower in their wedding photos! 2. Zipping Up the Bride’s Dress Let’s be real—getting into a wedding dress is harder than it looks! If the bride needs help getting zipped into her dress before the ceremony, I’m there to assist. I’ve had the honor of helping brides get ready, making sure everything looks perfect before they walk down the aisle. It’s all about making sure the bride feels comfortable and confident. 3. Getting Guests to Sit Down on Time A wedding isn’t just about the couple; it’s about everyone coming together to celebrate. But let’s face it—sometimes guests get distracted or just need a little nudge to get in their seats for the ceremony. As the photographer, I’ve often found myself guiding guests to their spots so that everything flows smoothly and on time. 4. Making Sure the Bride Stays Warm Weddings can be long, and depending on the season, it can get cold. If I notice the bride shivering, I’m quick to let someone know to grab her a jacket or shawl. A photographer’s job isn’t just to capture the beauty of the day—it’s also about making sure the bride (and everyone else) is comfortable and happy. 5. Being There for Every Moment As a wedding photographer, I’m with you the whole day—following you around from the first look to the last dance. It’s important for a photographer to be more than just a camera. You want someone who’s friendly, approachable, and always ready to lend a hand. I’ve held flowers, fixed a veil, or even helped a guest with a seat. You never know what will come up, and it’s my job to be there, supporting you every step of the way. 6. Clear Communication and Asking Questions One of the most important things you can do when hiring a wedding photographer is make sure you’re on the same page. I always encourage my couples to share their vision with me. If there are specific photos or moments you want to capture, let me know! Whether it’s a specific angle or a pose you saw on Pinterest, I’m happy to work with you to get the photos you’ve always dreamed of. Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions. It’s your wedding day, and it’s one of the biggest moments of your life! You deserve to feel confident that the people you’ve chosen are the right fit. Whether you’re wondering about timelines, what to wear for photos, or how to make the most out of your day, I’m here to help answer any questions you have. 7. Taking Great Photos (Of Course!) At the end of the day, what really matters is the photos. You want pictures that not only capture the beauty of your wedding but also the emotions and special moments. As a photographer, I focus on telling the story of your day through my lens. From the joyful tears during the vows to the fun moments at the reception, I’m there to capture it all. Your wedding is going to be filled with so many memories, and I feel lucky to be the one who gets to help preserve them. When you’re choosing a photographer, look for someone who is more than just a person with a camera. Choose someone who will be there to help, guide, and make your day as stress-free as possible. So remember: a wedding photographer isn’t just about taking pictures—they’re a part of your team, helping make sure everything goes smoothly and capturing the best moments of your special day. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, share your ideas, and most of all, enjoy every moment! Happy wedding planning! 😊

Ian and Sarah’s Wedding at the Marry Me Chapel in Fresno On October 26, surrounded by family, friends, laughter, and love, Ian and Sarah finally said “I do” at the Marry Me Chapel in Fresno a day that celebrated not just their union, but their strength, their journey, and the love that carried them through some of life’s most challenging years. Ian and Sarah first met before the COVID-19 pandemic, when the world was still open and ordinary. But as the pandemic swept through and turned everyday life upside down, their bond was put to the test. Through uncertainty, lockdowns, and life’s unexpected twists, their relationship only grew stronger. They learned the meaning of patience, partnership, and resilience lessons that would shape the foundation of their family. Today, that love has blossomed into something beautiful. With two wonderful children by their side, Ian and Sarah stood before their loved ones and vowed to spend the rest of their lives together. Their wedding was filled with joy, warmth, and heartfelt emotion — a true celebration of enduring love and family. But there was one presence deeply missed that day: Sarah’s mother, who had passed away before the wedding. Though she could not be there in person, her spirit filled the room in the most touching way. The couple set aside a special chair and table in her honor, adorned with photos and memories a quiet reminder that love transcends even the boundaries of life and death. It was a moment that brought tears to many eyes and reminded everyone that the people we love never truly leave us. The Marry Me Chapel provided the perfect intimate setting for this emotional and joy-filled occasion a space where memories were made, promises were spoken, and a new chapter began. As Ian and Sarah begin their married life together, they carry with them the strength of their shared past, the love of their family, and the eternal presence of those who will always watch over them.

Blesshia is celebrating some major milestones this year she turned 18, is graduating from high school in Fresno, and is throwing a themed birthday party with a unique twist! To commemorate it all, she and her family made the drive down to Placentia Canyon Nature Center for a 90-minute photoshoot with me, and I have to say it was such a fun and creative session. Originally born in the Philippines, Blesshia moved to the U.S. when she was 13. Since then, she’s truly made the most of her high school years, being involved in both cheerleading and yearbook two activities that really show off her spirit and love for storytelling. The shoot itself was inspired by the theme of her upcoming birthday party, which takes its mood from a film that blends romantic and creepy elements. That gave us the opportunity to get really creative with locations and vibes. We balanced soft, dreamy shots with a touch of mystery using light, shadows, and natural backdrops to play up both sides of the theme. Placentia Canyon Nature Center offered so much variety it was the perfect spot. From lush greenery and winding trails to moody, shaded corners, every part of the park added something new to the session. On top of the themed shots, we also made time for classic graduation portraits and some heartfelt family photos. I’m really proud of how this session turned out. We managed to capture so many different aspects of Blesshia’s story her growth, her personality, her family, and the creative vision she brought to the shoot. It was a joy working with her, and I can’t wait to see how she celebrates the next chapter. The main focus was the daughter but they just wanted some family photos as well. Congrats, Blesshia here’s to your 18th year and everything ahead!

Some love stories feel like fate. Robert and Beatriz’s journey began in the most unexpected of places a bus stop. A brief meeting, a shared smile, and then life took them in different directions. But destiny had its own plans. Months later, they crossed paths again, this time for good. Fast forward several years, and this once chance encounter has grown into a beautiful family of five. Robert and Beatriz now have three incredible children, each one a piece of their love story. So when it came time to tie the knot, it was only fitting that their wedding would be as full of heart and meaning as their journey together. On a sunny day in Fresno, Robert and Beatriz made it official at the Marry Me Chapel a colorful, charming and intimate venue perfect for a family centered celebration. The theme color was purple a symbol of royalty and devotion—and it was woven beautifully throughout the day. From the bridesmaids’ dresses to the floral accents and decor, every touch of purple spoke to the couple’s rich history and bright future. But what made the day truly unforgettable was the way their children were involved. All three of their kids took part in the wedding party, proudly standing by their parents as they exchanged vows. It wasn’t just a marriage it was a celebration of the family they’ve built together over the years. In a touching moment of remembrance, a special memorial chair was reserved for Robert’s late mother. Though she couldn’t be there in person, her presence was felt deeply throughout the ceremony. Her memory was honored with grace, love, and a few quiet tears reminding everyone that those we love never truly leave us. The day was filled with laughter, happy tears, and unforgettable moments. From heartfelt speeches to joyful dancing, Robert and Beatriz’s wedding was more than just a celebration of love it was a celebration of resilience, family, and the power of second chances.

horse on beach at sunset

There’s something undeniably magical about horses on the beach. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore, the salty breeze in the air, and the soft sand beneath the hooves create an atmosphere that feels like something out of a dream. For Amanda and her stallion, this is not just a beautiful setting, but a place where their bond truly comes to life. As they gallop along the water’s edge, there’s an undeniable connection between them. Amanda and her horse have a deep understanding, built on years of trust and mutual respect. The rhythm of their movements together, the way they both know exactly what the other needs, is a testament to the unspoken language they share. It's as if the beach amplifies this bond, allowing it to shine in the most breathtaking way. One of the most unforgettable moments on this magical beach was when Amanda ran with her stallion, the wind rushing through her hair, an old parachute trailing behind them like a wild, colorful ribbon in the breeze. As her stallion galloped, the parachute billowed out, creating an ethereal image of freedom and power. It was the perfect visual trail for Amanda’s dress, which fluttered in the wind, adding a touch of elegance to the untamed beauty of the moment. The contrast between the boldness of the parachute and the delicate fabric of her dress was nothing short of mesmerizing. And of course, Amanda’s outfit was just as magical. She wore a golden one-piece, sparkling under the sun like a cowgirl straight out of a fairytale. The glimmer of the fabric caught the light with every movement, giving her the perfect “sparkly cowgirl” vibe. It was the perfect blend of strength and elegance, capturing the essence of who she is a fierce and graceful rider with a heart full of adventure. Together, Amanda and her stallion on that beach weren’t just creating memories they were living a dream, embodying the magic that only a horse, the ocean, and a special bond can bring.

family in fall leaves
By Zoe Evelyn January 26, 2025
One of my favorite locations for family photos has always been Placenta Canyon in Santa Clarita, California. This hidden gem of nature is breathtaking no matter the time of year. In the fall, the landscape transforms into a vibrant tapestry of orange, red, and gold leaves, creating a warm, inviting backdrop. In the spring, the canyon bursts with life, lush greenery surrounding you at every turn. And depending on the rain, there’s the occasional small river that adds an extra layer of magic to the scenery, winding through the landscape in a peaceful flow. The canyon is an incredible place to take photos, a serene and natural setting that’s perfect for capturing family memories. I recommend taking photos there during late October early November or late March early April. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing the Redmond family for years, and it’s been such a privilege to watch their bond grow over time. The beauty of their family dynamic is something special their shared laughter, their unique personalities, and the love that radiates from them. I’ve had the honor of capturing moments with them, from family photos to special milestones, and I’ve witnessed firsthand how their personalities shine through in every shot. I even took my own graduation photos there as a teenager, making it a place filled with personal significance. The serene, timeless beauty of Placenta Canyon, paired with the vibrant energy of the Redmond family, made for the perfect combination. During our photo sessions, I could really see how the siblings brought their fun, quirky personalities to life, making the shoot feel like a playful adventure rather than a simple photoshoot. They have such a natural camaraderie, with laughter and jokes flowing effortlessly throughout the session. And then there’s the undeniable love between the parents, a partnership that’s reflected in the way they interact with each other and their children. It’s always an absolute joy to witness and capture. Whether it was the peaceful landscape of the canyon or the pure, unfiltered joy of the family, it’s moments like these that remind me of how lucky I am to be part of these meaningful memories. The Redmond family’s photos always capture more than just an image; they capture a feeling, a connection, and a beautiful chapter in their lives.
